Lots to see and do in the Whitsundays

The chance of seeing whales and dolphins is always on our minds at the moment. Exciting prospects.
The viz diving has been brilliant at Langford the last couple of days also.
Seeing stingrays amazing coral and fish. Divers having fun and trying new things.

Whales whales and more whales

Wow what a week. We have seen whales just outside Blue Pearl Bay a couple of days ago. Yesterday we saw whales as we were heading towards Langford Island. Today we saw them on the way over to Hayman Island and on the way back to Abel Point Marina! Amazing creatures. One of the whales today had a large pod of dolphins playing around it! Wow!

First whale seen today!!!

Yippee. We saw a whale today. The first one of the season.
We now have a hydrophone on board and it was awesome to be able to hear the whale clicking!

We have been doing lots of intro diving at Blue Pearl over the last week. The viz is getting better as the weather settles down!

All creatures great and SMALL!

It's been lovely weather the last few days, though a little cold.
The diving too has been great with lots of nudibranches around (my favourite). It's like a treasure hunt looking for these small sea slugs, and there is a large variety of types around at the moment. I have never seen one like the one below before, or one as large - like a small clenched fist!
