Illusions, without a doubt, is the best day cruise in the Whitsundays, visiting the two best islands in the area, with the best diving and snorkeling in the world.
Illusions is a 42 foot sailing catamaran which gives all the passengers a sense of total relaxation and enjoyment. There is lots of space to sunbake, and shelter from the elements!

Illusions has been operating in the Whitsundays for over 19 and ½ years, making it one of the most long running cruises in the area. Sailing over to Hayman Island allows time for passengers to chill out, look for dolphins, and whales (during the whale season).

I have been working on the boat for over 2 years now as dive instructor/hostess.
There is never a dull moment on board, with such a variety of passengers from all walks of life, and from all around the world. Divers from beginners to extremely experienced. Each dive offering up new experiences for both the passengers and for myself.

I am starting this blog as a diary of the adventures that I have on Illusions. From the days I see Humpback whale calves come playing around the boat, to having up close and personal experiences with Turtles and other marine life. Also to highlight some of the characters that I get to share these experiences with.

I, Naomi, have now been on Illusions for nearly 8 years, and am now a qualified skipper. Josef has owned the business now for over 13 years, and Illusions has been operating in the Whitsundays for over 20 years.
