Josef put the hydrophone in the water today after being able to hear the whales while diving. The sound on this video is what we recorded. Just before we stopped recording the whales appeared in the distance! Amazing.

What a sight!
After over 1000 dives in the Whitsundays I have seen a first. A coral trout catching and devouring a blue and gold fusilier. The coral trout banged against my leg as it went to grab it's prey! Wow!
Hungry coral trout with its lunch! |
Lauren, Antony (from Victoria) , Fredrick and Helena (from Germany) got to see the action! |

Great diving and loads of whales.
What an amazing day.
Clear blue skies, flat calm seas. And whales breaching all over the place.
Mother and calf up close too. Seeing whales breaching off Blue Pearl Bay. Seeing whales as we were heading to Langford. Stunning!!!
The diving today was also amazing. Gorgeous visibility. And I saw a Scrawled Filefish, for the first time.
